Mohawks win sloppy game in Utica, 8-6

Box Score

Amsterdam handed Utica their fourth loss in a row in a sloppy game of baseball on Saturday night. The final score ended up being 8-6 Amsterdam and the Mohawks out hit Utica 9-5.

The Blue Sox would get an early 6-2 lead when they loaded the bases in the 5 th inning and got five runs thanks to five walks and an error in the inning. But the Mohawks would fight back to regain the lead 8-6 thanks to a three run spot in both the top of the 7 th and 8 th inning. That would stand as the final score line.

Both starting pitchers got no decisions. Lane went four and a third innings allowing three runs on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts for Amsterdam.
