After a fantastic summer, Cade Ladehoff has been named the 2024 PGCBL Player of the Year.
Following a spring at NJIT where Ladehoff was named a Freshman All-American, Cade kept the hot bat going and delivered many clutch hits, won the league's batting title, was tied for the home run lead and led the league in slugging and doubles, while driving in the second most runs.
Ladehoff hit .408 in 41 games with 5 home runs, 16 doubles, 35 RBI, scored 31 runs and stole 6 bases.
This is the eighth time a Mohawk has been named the Player of the Year. Gage Miller was the last Mohawk to earn the honor in 2022. Gage came to us from Bishop State Community College and transferred to Alabama after his strong season in Amsterdam. He was drafted earlier this year by the Marlins in the third round.
Following the same type of path, Ladehoff entered the transfer portal while playing for the Mohawks and quickly landed at the University of Michigan.
