SAUGERTIES, N.Y. – The Amsterdam Mohawks (20-5) exploded for a 10-1 win over the Saugerties Stallions (16-7) on Sunday night at Cantine Field.

Two more runs were added in the top of the third by Amsterdam. Bryce Eblin (Alabama) had an RBI single that knocked in both Shaw and Funk to up the lead to 4-1 for the Mohawks.
The fifth inning is where the game was broken open as Amsterdam knocked in five runs. Runs were scored by Keith Jones (Washington State), Brett Coker (Middle Tennessee State), Funk, Eblin and Brett Young (Siena). Amsterdam chases Stallions’ starter Andres Auffant (Franklin Pierce) from the game in that inning. Amsterdam made the score 9-1 at the end of the fifth.
Another run was added by the Mohawks in the top of the seventh to make the score 10-1, which is where the score held.
