The Amsterdam Mohawks lost for the second time in three nights against the Albany Dutchmen 6-4. Mohawks bats were quiet throughout the night and a couple of miscues in the field led to Albany scoring a couple of runs.
Tom Kretzler (Brockport) went deep off Gavin Stelpflug (Maryland) to give Albany the lead for good. Davis Meche (Mississippi State) had a 2-run single in the bottom of the 9th but that was all Amsterdam could muster as Matt Shaw (Maryland) struck out swinging to end the game.
The Mohawks close the season on Thursday at Rao Family Stadium against the Dutchmen before they start their title defense on Saturday night, also at Rao Family Stadium as the PGCBL playoffs number one seed against TBD.
