Gage Miller (Bishop State) led off the game with a triple and the Mohawks never looked back as they defeated the Oneonta Outlaws 4-1 on the road Monday night.

Zach Eldred (Brockport) got an RBI single scoring Miller and Dakota Duffalo (Utah) singled home Eldred to give the Mohawks an early 2-0 lead.

It the fourth, Luke Longo (NJIT) hit a leadoff standup double and scored on a Bryce Hubbard (Mississippi State) single making it 3-0. Dylan Banner (UAlbany) had 3 hits in the game and capped off the Mohawks scoring with a long home run in the fifth inning that put Amsterdam up 4-0.

Brandon Peterson (NJIT) got the start and went 4 scoreless innings allowing 2 hits and 4 walks with 4 strikeouts. Josh Davis (Clemson) came in and pitched a scoreless fifth and sixth with 1 hit, 1 walk and 1 strikeout, recording the win to move to 1-0 on his Mohawks debut. Colin Maloney (Rhode Island) pitched a scoreless seventh allowing 1 walk with 1 strikeout and Ryan Taffe (Fairfield) closed out the game allowing 1 run on 2 hits with 4 strikeouts.

Christopher Baillargeon (Holy Cross) hit the triple in the ninth that scored Gavin McAlonie (Molloy) to put Oneonta on the board. That run was the first earned run the Mohawks have surrendered all season.

The Mohawks moved to 4-0 with the win and will return home on Tuesday to host the Watertown Rapids. The Outlaws drop to 1-2 and will face the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs on the road Tuesday.
