Aiden Stewart (Delaware) stepped in and walked to force in Drake Digiorno (Utah), Steven Spalitta (Mississippi State) was hit by a pitch to force in Jimmy Dionne (Howard College) and an error by the catcher allowed Michael O’Brien (Mississippi State) to score and make it 3-0.

Jace VanValkenburg took over on the mound for Saugerties in the sixth and experienced the same results. A hit batter and 2 singles loaded the bases again, allowing Jimmy Dionne to drive in Jackson Natili (Rutgers) with a single. Michael O’Brien walked forcing in Cade Ladehoff (NJIT) and Drake Digiorno scored on a passed ball to make it 6-0.

After taking the seventh inning off, the Mohawks added another 3 in the ninth as Sebastian Harden (Coastal Alabama North) scored on a Zach Eldred (Brockport) single. Aiden Stewart drove in Michael O’Brien with a single and Javar Williams (Wake Forest) walked to force in Eldred making it 9-0.

The Mohawks put the icing on the cake in the ninth as Drake Digiorno scored a little league home run as an error by the third basemen allowed Digiorno to score the Mohawks 10th run.

Amsterdam improved to 5-2 with the win, while Saugerties fell to 7-1. Drew Nelson (1-0) earned his first win of the season, while Elias Conway fell to 1-1.
