Box Score

LITTLE FALLS, NY – A three-run home run by Sebastian Harden (Cypress, TX/Coastal Alabama North) proved to be the difference on Sunday night as the Amsterdam Mohawks grabbed the 7-3 victory at Veteran's Memorial Park

Amsterdam got on the board just two batters in on a sacrifice hit that scored the triple-hitting Javar Williams (Dartmouth, MA/Wake Forest).

Jason Campo (North Babylon, NY/Stony Brook) brought the score to within one on an RBI single by Cristino Tufano (/George Washington). However, the Mohawks would score four in the very next half-inning, helped along by the three-run home run by Harden.

The Diamond Dawgs would continue fighting in the seventh, with an RBI groundout by Justin Hurd (Warwick, NY/SUNY Albany). Campo would also get a run across with a walk with the bases loaded.

The Mohawks got a ground-out RBI in the top of the ninth, then closer Konnor Keplinger (Morris, AL/Auburn) got six straight outs to end the game.

Logan Forsythe (Dilberville,MS/Mississippi State) got the win for Amsterdam (17-3). Bo Buckley (Petrolia, Ontario, Canada/Fairfield) got the loss for Mohawk Valley (11-9).

Mohawk Valley and Amsterdam will complete their current home-and-home series on Tuesday at Shuttleworth Park. After that, Mohawk Valley will spend their July 4 holiday at Damaschke Field to play the Oneonta Outlaws. Amsterdam will head to East Field on Wednesday where they will take on the Glens Falls Dragons.
