After losing to the Mohawks 18-2 on July 9th, the Saugerties Stallions had been red hot winning 6 games in a row and shrinking the Mohawks lead in the East Division to 2 games. Last night the Mohawks gave a firm answer to whom the East Division belonged to as they defeated the Stallions 11-5. The Mohawks took a 2-0 lead in the first off back-to-back sac-flys. Saugerties tied the game in the second, but Gage Haley came out of the bullpen with the bases loaded and 1 out in the second to quickly end the rally. Amsterdam put up 3 runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by Rob Rispoli and Sebastian Harden doubles to go up 5-2. The Mohawks kept their foot on the gas pedal as they scored 2 in the third and 3 in the fourth to jump to an early 10-2 lead. Gage Haley was fantastic out of the pen going 4 innings and allowing just 1 run.
