Box Score Game 1 Game 2
The Mohawks 13-game winning streak was snapped yesterday with a 6-6 tie in the first game of a doubleheader with the Oneonta Outlaws. The game appeared to be lost as Amsterdam trailed 5-1 going into the fifth, by Mason McCraine hit a 2-run single, then reached on an error in the seventh allowing Chris McLaughlin to score and Zack Johnson drew a bases loaded walk to tie the game. Evan Taylor threw out the potential game winning run at the plate from left field to send the game to extra innings and it was Taylor who gave the Mohawks a breif lead with an RBI single. However, Oneonta tied it in their extra frame and Brandon Shea left the winning run for Oneonta stranded at third as he recorded the strikeout to end the game. Amsterdam did pick up a 4-1 win in the second game and still remain unbeaten in their last 15 games.
