This year the Mohawks toughest opponent has been off the field. Three days into the season the team still holds a 0-0 record as none of the games played have been completed.

On Wednesday, Amsterdam traveled to Albany where the lights went out in the 8th inning with the score tied at 5. The Mohawks will complete that game on June 20, the next time they are scheduled to play at Albany.

On Thursday, the Mohawks held their home opener and the rains held off the entire day until just moments before the game began. The Mohawks and Utica Brewers played just 1 inning until the rain intensified and claimed the remainder.

Dylan Dwyer (Kentucky) started for the Mohawks and allowed 2 walks to Michael Pierson (Appalachian State) and Ryan Valdes (Florida State) and both scored on a Joseph Gallub (Concordia) single up the middle. The Mohawks loaded the bases in the bottom of the inning as Ed Charlton (NJ Tech) and Devin Wenzel (Cincinnati) singled and Shane Zimmer (Canisius) walked, but Colin Gay (Maine) popped out to second to end the threat. The Mohawks took the field in the for the second inning, but the rain picked up and stoped the game. The conclusion of this game will be put on hold until July 27 when the Brewers make their next trip to Shuttleworth Park.

Friday the Mohawks were scheduled to play in Glens Falls but the rain had not subsided from the previous night. The game will be recheduled to a later date, but no makeup date has been announced yet. Hopefully the weather will break for Saturday's game. The Mohawks will not only look to complete a game, but light off the first of five fireworks shows with Saturday's being sponsored by Rick's Robo Car Wash.
