The Amsterdam Mohawks used a four-run fourth inning to propel them to an 8-3 win over the Saugerties Stallions on the road.

Saugerties took a 1-0 lead in the third after Adam Chase (Franklin Pierce)  was hit by a Griffin Roberts (Wake Forest) pitch with the bases loaded to force in Alex Thrower (Buffalo).

In the fourth, Joe Genord hit an RBI single and Tristen Carranza hit a three-run home run. The Mohawks added a run in the fifth on an error before Saugerties scored two of its three runs in the sixth on an error. Amsterdam got one back in the eighth on a wild pitch and two in the ninth on a Tyler Frank double.

Griffin Roberts allowed one run over five innings in earning the win and improving to 1-0 for Amsterdam as Matt Jones (Manhattan) took the loss falling to 1-2.
