Despite a late Amsterdam rally, the Utica Blue Sox were able to hold on and beat the Mohawks, 5-4, at Donovan Stadium.

The Blue Sox took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a Taylor Olmstead RBI single and a Kyle Winkler RBI single. The Mohawks got a run back in the second on a Dan Maynard RBI single but Utica quickly responded with two more runs, coming on a Mitchell Calandra RBI single and a groundout. Down 5-3 in the ninth, Amsterdam loaded the bases and scored a run on a walk but a strikeout and a pop out ended the game. 

Kevin Woebke picked up the win for the Blue Sox as Ryan Green notched the save. Tim Herrin took the loss for Amsterdam.
