Game Live
The Mohawks and Dutchmen played through the 10th deadlocked at 4-4, but the setting sun forced the umpires to halt the game before its conclusion.
Justin Childers (Ohio Dominican) helped give Albany an early 3-1 lead with an RBI ground out in the first and a solo home run in the third. Amsterdam responded with two runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth to level the score at 4-4. Julian Gallup (Niagara) singled and came around to score the tying run on a Liam Wilson (Canisius) base hit. From there, neither team was able to drive in any of the runners it put in scoring position.
Justin Reed (Indiana) and Brooks Knapek (UMass) combined for 4.2 innings and just two hits out of the Amsterdam bullpen, while four Dutchmen relievers combined for 4.1 innings with seven strikeouts.
The game will be resumed prior to the regularly-scheduled meeting between these two teams at Siena Field on July 2.
