Lane went 4.2 innings, allowing only 1 hit while walking 2, striking out 6.  Anderson went 3.1 innings, allowing only 1 hit and no walks, striking out 3.

Jake Mueller (Wake Forest) went 2-for-5 at the plate with a HR and 2 RBI’s, his first home run of the year, and Anthony Gonnella (South Florida) added a 3-run bomb, his 6th of the year, which leads all of the PGCBL.  Justin Decker (Dominican) went 2-for-2 with a 2B in the loss.

Jake Mueller got the scoring started for the Mohawks when he put a 3-2 pitch over the left field wall to give the Mohawks a 1-0 lead.

The score would stay that way until the bottom of the 4th, when the Mohawks would send 10 to the plate in the inning and plate 6 of them, highlighted by RBI doubles from Dylan Reynolds (Fairfield) and John Valente (St. Johns), and a towering 3-run home run over the right field fence by Anthony Gonnella.  After the inning was done, the Mohawks would have a 7-0 lead.

The Mohawks would add another in the 6th when Dustin Skelton (Miss. St.) would score on a passed ball, and another in the 7th when Skelton slugged an RBI double off of the left field wall, stretching the score to 9-0.

Ben Anderson picked up the win for the Mohawks after coming in to get the last out of the 5th, while Sean Boyle (Dallas Baptist) took the loss.

The Mohawks will travel to Cantine Veterans Memorial Field tomorrow to face the Saugerties Stallions, with that game slated for a 7:05 PM first pitch. The Albany Dutchmen will have an off day before returning home to face Saugerties at Siena Field, with that one starting at 5:05 PM.
