• The Mohawks welcomed baseball back on Monday as they hosted the Albany Dutch in a doubleheader to kick off the newly formed ICBL season. The Mohawks had to come from behind in both games as they prevailed by a score of 7-4 in the first game and 7-3 in the second game. 
• In the first game, the Albany Dutch got on the board first as former Mohawk Nick DeBrino drove in two runs with a double in the second inning off Mohawks starter Jason Savacool. That would be the first hit of the game for the Dutch, and the last until the sixth inning as they only had 3 in the game.
• In the bottom of the second, Andrew Pedone hit a double with one out and after 2 walks, Nick Kondo drove in a pair of runs with a double to tie the game at 2.
• The Mohawks took the lead with 2 runs in the fourth inning. Jake Reinisch doubled and scored on a Reilly Hall single. Brian Hart then drove in Jeffery Brennan with a single, but inning ended as Reilly Hall was thrown out at the plate.
• In the fifth, the Mohawks took a 6-2 lead. Dan Parslow singled with the bases loaded and drove in Tyler Cannoe. Jake Reinisch followed with a sacrifice fly that scored Ben Rhodes.
• The Dutch answered back with two runs in the sixth. Devyn Fahenstock started the inning and recorded one out before loading the bases. Dale Stanavich came in and allowed a sac-fly to Ryan McGee and Chris Hamilton scored on a passed ball to make it 6-4.
• The Mohawks added one more run in the bottom of the sixth. Devin Disonell led off the inning with a double and scored on a Brian Hart groundout to make it 7-4.
• Jason Savacool started for the Mohawks and allowed 2 runs on 1 hit with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Will Van Buesekom was the winning pitcher. He pitched 2 hitless innings, striking out 2 and walking 1. Dale Stanavich, Teddy McGraw, and Devyn Fahnestock all put in work in relief out of the bullpen. Stanavich recorded the last five outs to earn the save.
• Sal Fusco took the loss for the Dutch out of the bullpen. He went 2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and striking out 3.
• Nick Kondo went 2-for-3 at the plate to and drove in 2 runs to lead the offense.
• In the second game, the Dutch immediately took a 3-0 lead in the first inning off Mohawks starter Brooks Knapek as Luke Gold hit a 2-run home run and Nick Melillo grounded out to drive in Chris Hamilton.
• The score would stay that way until the bottom of the sixth when the Mohawks erupted for 7 runs.
• Nick Kondo lead off the inning with a home run. Jake Reinisch and Tyler Cannoe followed with walks and Danny Moshier singled to load the bases. Andrew Pedone and Reilly Hall both walked as the tying run scored. Danny Moshier scored on a passed ball to put the Mohawks up 4-3. After a fielder's choice and a hit by pitch, Brian Hart hit a 2-run single to put the Mohawks up 6-3 and Ben Rhodes would score on another passed ball to make it 7-3.
• After pitching a scorless sixth, Carter Knapek would close out the game with a pair of strikeouts in the seventh to close out the game as he earned the win.
• Mohawks pitching racked up 14 strikeouts in the game, while the Dutch had 13. Brooks Knapek had 1 in the first as the only 3 Dutch runs came off him. The next 3 Mohawks pitchers each went 2 scoreless innings and only allowed 2 total hits. John Mikolaicyk and Matt Gonzales each had 5 strikeouts while Carter Knapek recorded 3.
