The Amsterdam Mohawks improved to 2-0 on the young season after an 18-7 win over the Glens Falls Dragons last night.
Hawaiian Stone Miyao stole the show for the Mohawks as he went 3-3 at the plate with two walks, two singles, a double, and five runs batted in.
The Mohawks used five different pitchers for the second night in a row, but they were mostly stress-free after a seven-run first inning.
A couple of newcomers to tonight's lineup from the University of Pittsburgh, CJ Funk and Jackson Phinney contributed heavily. Funk had a couple of runs batted in along with a pair of hits, and Phinney was stellar behind the plate with a double as well.
Next, the Mohawks travel to Saugerties to take on the Stallions tonight looking to improve to 3-0.
