Mohawks Top Unbeaten Blue Sox, 5-1

After losing 2 in a row, the Mohawks came in fresh after an off-day and defeated the 5-0 Utica Blue Sox by a score of 5-1 at home.

Teddy McGraw was brilliant on the mound as he allowed just 1 run over 6 innings with 3 hits, no walks and 5 strikeouts.

The teams traded runs in the third and then the Mohawks scored 1 run in each of the last 4 innings to take the game by a 5-1 score.

Brett Young set the tone from the leadoff spot as he went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and stole 2 bases. Kai Roberts and CJ Funk each added a solo home run for the Mohawks.

The Mohawks improved to 5-2 on the season while the Blue Sox fell to 5-1. The Mohawks are back in action tomorrow night as they host the Oneonta Outlaws at 6:35
