The Stallions responded with three runs in the seventh. Jack Beyl hit a laser into the left-center gap, missing a home run by inches as the ball hit the top of the wall and came back into play.
Saugerties threatened in the eight, bringing one run home. In the ninth The Stallions brought the game tying run to plate but pitcher Grant Nicholson recorded the final strikeout to secure a 9-6 Mohawks win. Amsterdam earned their third straight win and handed the Stallions their second loss.
